Happy Monday, Loves!! Christmas is just two weeks away! Can you believe that? I have so many more reasons to celebrate this year, starting with an expanded family for the year and also new found friends. This world of blogging has blessed me in so many ways, no only do you let me into your life, even if its for a brief second so that I can share with you the things that I love, but it has also introduced me to so many great people that are supportive and encouraging and totally get what its like to be a blogger. So here, I share with you a very friendly holiday with my new blogger friends, Lauren Schwaiger of Lauren Schwaiger, Erika Taylor of Tailoring Style and Alyssa Puckett of A Hint of Hazel.
We wanted to create this post purely to bring you some joy and cheer during the holidays. Lauren, Erika, Alyssa and I teamed up with The Gap at Southpark Mall here in Charlotte and Kendra Scott SouthPark to share with you some amazing holiday looks! We are also sharing with you a little holiday Q&A just so that you get to know us a tad bit more. And if you don’t already know of them, go ahead and subscribe to their blogs and Instagram accounts, I know you will love their styles! (IG: Lauren, Erika, Alyssa)
When it came down to picking our outfits for this shoot, we were all going in different directions with totally different styles and colors, until we came together at the last minute and decided to coordinate with red, black and white. It all started with Lauren’s pick of the red and black buffalo plaid shirt with the cutest ruffle details. From there we all selected pieces that flowed together with the color theme. Erika chose that fabulous faux fur coat, Alyssa found those amazing buffalo plaid slide-on sneakers and I got super lucky with the red velvet skinny pants cause I still needed something red and low and behold they appeared as if out of nowhere with a light glowing around them (cue in angels singing).
We also wanted to add some pizzaz to our festive looks with some Kendra Scott jewels. How fabulous are those red statement earrings I’m wearing?
Keep scrolling down to see more of our looks and all the shenanigans that Deanna from Deeana Kourtney Photography was able to capture. And also our little holiday Q&A is at the bottom of this post.
Holiday Q & A
1 – Favorite Holiday Tradition?
Anna- Our holidays vary slightly with each year but we always make some Dominican foods that are traditional during the holidays. I’ve enjoyed the Elf on the Shelf for the past few years but my favorite part is watching the kids open their presents on Christmas morning.
Erika- Ever since my sister & I were younger, our parents have always given us PJs on Christmas eve. My favorite thing is we still do this on Christmas Eve and it has grown as my sister and brother-in-law have continued to do this with my niece and nephew. I can’t wait to do the same with my family one day!
Lauren- We are all about Christmas Eve in my family. My whole life, my parents have always gone all out for Christmas Eve…beautiful sit down dinner, all the homemade Christmas cookies you can imagine, as I’ve gotten older Midnight Mass has moved to earlier in the day, we open all our gifts on Christmas Eve and the evening goes on for hours on end (with wine, lots of wine) and I wouldn’t change it for the world. #FamilyIsEverything
Alyssa- Spending time with my family and playing fun Christmas games together!
2 – Favorite Christmas Movie(s)?
Anna- National Lampoons Christmas Vacation hands down. I’ve watch it every year since it came out.
Erika- Such a hard one! My top 3 are Home Alone (tie between 1 & 2), The Holiday, and Christmas Vacation.
Lauren- I can’t pick just one!! Home Alone, The Holiday, The Grinch (with Jim Carrey). Pretty sure I’ve watched each of these a million times!
Alyssa- Home Alone, Elf, and A Charlie Brown Christmas
3 – Favorite Christmas Song(s)?
Anna- I love most Christmas songs but Latin Christmas songs make my holidays feel more like Christmas to me.
Erika- Any by Trans Siberian Orchestra, duh. All I Want for Christmas is You (#basic) & O Holy Night by Mariah Carey, Charlie Brown Christmas jams, Happy XMas by John Lennon.
Lauren- I adore Christmas Songs and start listening to them way too early in the season! Lol If I had to choose just 3, these would be my absolute favorites: Last Christmas by George Michael. Happy Xmas by John Lennon. The Prayer by Celine Dion & Andrea Bocelli.
Alyssa- I like listening to Michael Buble Christmas Radio on Pandora.
I really hope you enjoyed this post, we sure had a blast putting it together for you all!
