This summer has flown by, hasn’t it? With the end of summer approaching and the school year starting this means tons of excuses to have wine. Who am I kidding, any time is a good excuse to have wine. But this time of year does come with excuses to celebrate with it, like kids starting a new chapter in their lives. In my case each one of my kids, as well as our family as a whole, are starting a new phase. My youngest is
Let me tell you all about the uniqueness that is The Cowfish, the first and only sushi burger bar. When they first opened its doors here in Charlotte with the concept of the Burgushi (yes, burger in a sushi), some were very skeptical. Yet, it still drew people in out of curiosity. Hey, some people are squeamish at the thought of eating raw fish, so in my opinion, its a great way to introduce them to sushi with meat instead. I, on the other hand, will eat just about anything.
Last month we had our May Style Collective Blogger Meet up to help celebrate the launch of the Style Collective Becoming Fearless Podcast at the very trendy and amazing Vivace Restaurant, an upscale Italian Trattoria in Midtown Charlotte, NC. Annie Spano, Founder and Podcast host, herself was here as well. I’ve been there from the beginning and have seen Annie grow this community of so many fabulous women who support and help each other out. It has been her mission to

I have to admit, I am not a big soda drinker, but when I do have a soda it is ALWAYS Coca-Cola Classic, hands down. It has been this way since I was little, so it has always been my preference. And those times that I do have a Coca-Cola, it is because I’m eating either a pizza or popcorn. It just goes together, there’s no question about it, one is not right without the other, in my opinion. But I’m sure you can agree with me, right? For us, we love movie nights with Coca-Cola.
I have very fond memories of eating at Cheesecake Factory as a little girl, whenever my family and I would travel to the US. It was a must for us on every trip. We knew it as having delicious food and a huge selection to please each one of our palates. To this day, it still holds up to those memories and expectations.

Recently I talked about how I got back in shape, and as part of my new lifestyle, changing my eating habits was a huge part of that. Avocados From Mexico empowers me with the perfect solution for providing convenient, nutritious, and delicious excitement to the foods I prepare for myself and the ones I love, while also instilling a little piece of where I came from.
Adding avocados to your meals and even replacing ingredients with them is a great start to a nutritious and balanced lifestyle. To encourage you to do that and give you an idea of how easy it is, I created this snack recipe, which is a variation of the traditional deviled eggs.
This past weekend I had the honor of being invited to dine at one of our favorite restaurants in Charlotte. Vivace (Vee-va-chae) is a contemporary Italian Trattoria located at Metropolitan in Midtown Charlotte. With a modern, yet comfortable aesthetic, walls of Italian bottles of wine and an outdoor terrace overlooking the magnificent Charlotte skyline, this place is THE place to go.
But lets get to the actual food.
Executive Chef, Travis Hearne is the mastermind behind the culinary deliciousness that is Vivace. We have never been disappointed.
