I have to admit, I am not a big soda drinker, but when I do have a soda it is ALWAYS Coca-Cola Classic, hands down. It has been this way since I was little, so it has always been my preference. And those times that I do have a Coca-Cola, it is because I’m eating either a pizza or popcorn. It just goes together, there’s no question about it, one is not right without the other, in my opinion. But I’m sure you can agree with me, right? For us, we love movie nights with Coca-Cola.
On a recent post I mentioned that
I have very fond memories of eating at Cheesecake Factory as a little girl, whenever my family and I would travel to the US. It was a must for us on every trip. We knew it as having delicious food and a huge selection to please each one of our palates. To this day, it still holds up to those memories and expectations.
Last week I was invited to try

Recently I talked about how I got back in shape, and as part of my new lifestyle, changing my eating habits was a huge part of that. Avocados From Mexico empowers me with the perfect solution for providing convenient, nutritious, and delicious excitement to the foods I prepare for myself and the ones I love, while also instilling a little piece of where I came from.
Adding avocados to your meals and even replacing ingredients with them is a great start to a nutritious and balanced lifestyle. To encourage you to do that and give you an idea of how easy it is, I created this snack recipe, which is a variation of the traditional deviled eggs.
This past weekend I had the honor of being invited to dine at one of our favorite restaurants in Charlotte. Vivace (Vee-va-chae) is a contemporary Italian Trattoria located at Metropolitan in Midtown Charlotte. With a modern, yet comfortable aesthetic, walls of Italian bottles of wine and an outdoor terrace overlooking the magnificent Charlotte skyline, this place is THE place to go.
But lets get to the actual food.
Executive Chef, Travis Hearne is the mastermind behind the culinary deliciousness that is Vivace. We have never been disappointed.
Upon walking in, we were immediately
A few weeks ago I posted this Tuscan kale & spicy sausage soup on Instagram and a bunch of you wanted the recipe. It has been a while since I’ve posted a recipe, so I’m very overdue.
I first made this soup last December while planning our trip to
I’d like to think that I know quite a bit about wine, specially red wine. I mean I drink it every day so why wouldn’t I, right? When it comes to sweet wines though, I’m not so knowledgeable, mostly because I tend to go with bold, plusher textures and riper tannins, like a Malbec. The people at Banfi Wines were kind enough to give me the opportunity to try one of their newest wines, the Bell’Agio Rosso Dolce, so I did some research and wanted to share with you what to pair with a sweet red wine.
I want to give you a little background on Banfi.
I have to confess, while I love love cooking and experimenting with recipes, I have never experimented with fresh figs. I use fig butter and fig jam all the time, but that’s a bit different. Occasionally, I see fresh figs at Whole Foods Market and I’m tempted to get them but never know what to do with them. Then a couple of week ago I saw them again and since they don’t carry them often I decided to go ahead and get them and then figure out what to do with them.
The following day, I was super busy and starving. I only had a limited amount of time
