Happy Monday friends!! I hope your weekend was fantastic! I had a full weekend with birthday celebrations, photo shoots and hiking with the family. I think I am now finally back to some sort of a routine, and I hope it sticks. As much as I love to travel, it always gets me a bit out of sorts.
Speaking of traveling, you all know by now that I was in NYC recently for New York Fashion Week. It was hectic but so much fun. This was one of the outfits I packed and planned to wear but never got to because the day that I planned on wearing it, we got a cool front and I opted for a different outfit. Now I so wish I’d worn it, specially now knowing that it ended up warming up later in the day and I’m sure I would have been fine.
But alas, it is what it is and I can still wear it to another occasion. I am completely obsessed with this leather and lace skirt. I bought it at Zara during my trip to Paris last month. We don’t have a Zara store here in Charlotte, so whenever I see one, I have to go in and shop till I drop. This one is an XS. Funny enough, I had picked out a size S to try on but because of the shape, it looked too frumpy and big, so I went back to get the XS that I had seen, but by then it was already gone. I was so disappointed. Lucky for me, there was another Zara store literally less than a block away from that one, on Champs Elysses, as we were walking back to our hotel. I decided to take a peek and see if maybe they had the skirt there, and low and behold there was just ONE left and it was XS! Naturally, I thought it was meant to be.
The asymmetrical top is from Shein and only $13!! Its made of a thin light fabric that hangs perfectly. I love that its not your traditional button up blouse with the one shoulder feature. I’m sure I’ll be wearing this with different bottoms.
The rockstud caged heels are Valentino dupes that I found on Lulus.com for just $37. I wore these during NYFW and I am so glad I took them. They are super comfortable with the block heel in the perfect height. They look pretty much identical to the designer ones and I got many compliments.
The velvet embroidered folder clutch is from Urban Expressions and only $60. Every time I use this clutch, I get asked where its from. It was my go-to bag during NYFW.
