My Urban Skin Solutions Treatment Part 1

    Urban Skin Solutions

Last month I had the amazing opportunity to try out a skin treatment at Urban Skin Solutions in Charlotte. Urban Skin was founded by Rachel Roff 10 years ago at the tender age of 25! Talk about #girlboss! What makes Urban Skin Solutions different from other skin treatment facilities is that they are the first skin and laser center to specialize in corrective treatments for ALL skin types and skin tones, not just certain ones.

First, let me back up to about two months ago. I was invited by Urban Skin Solutions to attend a Read more…

    A Father’s Day Tribute

Father’s Day is just two days away and I wanted to write a more personal post dedicated to all the dads, my dad and especially the best husband and father anyone could ask for.

First, I want to say that there is one little guy missing from some of these photos, my 11 year old, Evan. It was not intentional. I share custody of him with my ex husband and on this particular day he was with his dad and this shoot was not planned. This was during our Style Collective Meetup and Law and Alex just came with me and explored the area while I chatted up with my SC sisters. Eben Adrian took these wonderful pictures of the three of us. I do so wish Evan was there though because my husband is an amazing stepdad and he’s been in our lives since Evan was 2.5 years old. And because we don’t have any recent professional pictures of all four of us, I went with these and a couple from our family trip to Italy.

Law came into my life Read more…

    Dinner at The Cowfish

    Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar

Let me tell you all about the uniqueness that is The Cowfish, the first and only sushi burger bar. When they first opened its doors here in Charlotte with the concept of the Burgushi (yes, burger in a sushi), some were very skeptical. Yet, it still drew people in out of curiosity. Hey, some people are squeamish at the thought of eating raw fish, so in my opinion, its a great way to introduce them to sushi with meat instead. I, on the other hand, will eat just about anything.

The Cowfish, named after an actual fish, has a sushi menu, a burger menu and a burgushi menu. Both the sushi and Read more…

    Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer

Ever since I was a little girl my mom would always talk to me about the importance of moisturizing. Not just for the face and neck, but the body as well as a way to keep the skin young and healthy looking. Many times I neglected her advice and would forget to apply lotion, only to notice after leaving the house that Read more…

    Romping Around Miami

    Embroidered Romper

#Tb to that time in Miami when I had them close off Ocean Drive to take these pictures for my romping Around Miami post. Then I woke up 😏. I’m totally kidding about that, I wish I had the power to close off Ocean Drive. It was closed off for Memorial Day Weekend activities and the Air & Sea Show, which was actually pretty nice since we were staying right there and the street wasn’t congested with cars.

So, we took a nice little stroll early in the morning looking for a place to Read more…

Style Collective Meetup at Vivace Charlotte

    Style Collective @ Vivace

Last month we had our May Style Collective Blogger Meet up to help celebrate the launch of the Style Collective Becoming Fearless Podcast at the very trendy and amazing Vivace Restaurant, an upscale Italian Trattoria in Midtown Charlotte, NC. Annie Spano, Founder and Podcast host, herself was here as well. I’ve been there from the beginning and have seen Annie grow this community of so many fabulous women who support and help each other out. It has been her mission to Read more…

    Friday Favorites: Gingham

Happy Friday friends!!! Today, I wanted to do a little round up of all things gingham since its a huge trend going on right now. Gingham is not just for picnic blankets and Italian restaurants anymore. Although some preppy style retailers and designers have always used it as part of their classic staples. Now it is a trend being seen anywhere and everywhere for Spring/Summer 2017 with creative designs and details added.

I curated some affordable pieces for you, Read more…
