I’ve partnered with Ulta again to show you how I get smooth and flawless looking skin. As a blogger, I have the opportunity to try many beauty products, and I so love a lot of them. Lately, my main two (not so) secret weapons are the Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant and Becca Velvet Blurring Primer.
Perfect skin really starts with exfoliation. You have to get rid of the dead skin and any pollutants that sit on the skin’s surface and accelerate skin aging. And by getting rid of that and exfoliating regularly you can immediately start feeling how much smoother your skin feels to the touch.
The Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant is a powder formula that activates upon contact with water and releases powerful enzymes, skin-smoothing alpha-hydroxy acids and an anti-pollution technology. It also contains charcoal, which purifies the skin. This exfoliator is part of Ulta’s 21 Days Of Beauty semi-annual sale going on this month!
Once I have my skin clean and exfoliated, the first step to applying my makeup is the Becca Velvet Blurring Primer. I’m a huge believer in primers because they prepare your skin for makeup application by smoothing everything out. The Becca Velvet Blurring Primer is tinted, but the tint blends in perfectly onto the skin. This primer creates a smooth looking and feeling canvas which makes applying makeup easier. The reviews on Ulta were mixed on this primer so after reading them all, my tip to using it is to first, shake it well before you use, and second, let is dry an absorb before applying anything else, otherwise it will peel off and leave residue on your skin.
After applying the primer (and waiting for it to dry) I go on with my makeup routine, and really all I use is the Almay CC Cream as my foundation and then Bare Minerals powder foundation. Both the CC Cream and the powder foundation contain SPF 35 and 15, which is very important to have.
You can see and shop my Ulta board on Mavenx.com with all of these items.
