One of the biggest trends currently taking over your Instagram feed is gingham. It has been seen worn in just about any and every shape or form and on practically every article of clothing and accessory. Its easy to over do it when wearing gingham. You want to make sure that everything else you wear is solid and simple. While in some cases it is acceptable to mix prints and patterns, and it still is with gingham, you have to be careful what other patterns you mix with it. For example, my other pattern in this outfit is the floral embroidery on the clutch and it work because the rest of the clutch is a solid color. So there’s your lesson on how to rock the gingham trend, keep it simple and make the popular pattern be the main focus and star of the outfit.
An speaking of being the star of the outfit, how adorable is this gingham top? The peplum silhouette gives it that girly flair in the front, but the bows and the open back elevates it even more with a fun flair. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it! And guess what, its only $17!
The black velvet clutch with the floral embroidery is from Urban Expression, and it’s my new obsession. Its from their new Fall collection, which I’m sure I’ll be using quite a bit throughout the rest of this year. You can get 25% off at Urban Expressions using code PPRDINSTYLE.
