When it comes to winter, you shouldn’t be limited to pants to keep your gorgeous stems warm. A mini skirt can easily be worn during the colder months, as long as you can withstand the temperatures of course. For example, while it may look really really cold in these pictures, it was actually a warmer day, compared to previous days. After the snow hit the temps rose up to the upper 40s lower 50s and it was the perfect weather to break out a miniskirt and style it for winter time.
One of my favorite ways to style a mini skirt in the winter is with booties and a chunky sweater. The polka dot tights don’t just add a bit of protection from the cold but also a different and interesting dimension to the outfit. Here I am mixing patterns and textures in a way that works because of the monochromatic colors.
This sweater is one of my absolute favorites. The contrast lace up detail adds a ton of interest to, plus I love anything in black and white. The sweater is originally from Zara and unfortunately its sold out, but I’ve linked some similar favorites.
I also added a beanie into mix which also helps keep you warm. If it were a bit colder I would add a long coat and I would with the booties for over-the-knew boots.
Other ways to style a mini skirt in the winter is to wear a slim turtle neck and a long coat or moto jacket. You can also wear it with thicker opaque tights and flats, topped with a blouse for a more work appropriate attire. Below you will see examples of different styles with a mini skirt.
