I believe almost every woman has, at one point in their lives, wondered if any of those super luxurious skin care lines actually work. I know I have, just about every time I see them at a fancy department store or high end beauty store.
As a blogger, I’ve been lucky enough to be able to try some amazing products, a lot of which are in skin care and beauty. Some have worked great and I share my experience, others didn’t exactly get me super excited or I didn’t notice anything and so I politely decline to post about them.
And now I had this opportunity to try Vine Vera, a luxuriously high-end skin care line. My curiosity peaked and I just had to try it out so that I could compare to everything else I’ve tried and share with you my experience and if its worth the price. So the question stands, does it actually work? Well, keep on reading and you’ll find out.
First, let me tell you a bit about Vine Vera. The name comes from the fact that the main active ingredient in all of their collections is Resveratrol, which is a powerful antioxidant found in the skin of red grapes. It is thought to cleanse your body of impurities and helps in preventing the appearance of aging signs such as fine lines and wrinkles. Wine is made out of grapes, and that’s why you see a little wine glass as part of their logo. Each of their collections is named after a type of wine. This one in particular is the Shiraz Collection. They got me at wine, ya’ll!
So, for the past two weeks I’ve been using nothing but the Vine Vera Shiraz Instentic Collection on my skin. I wanted to wait about a month before posting about it so that I could give it time to do its thing, but I have to say that I noticed the effects practically immediately!
I first started with the mask, which is recommended to use only every two weeks. I applied it to my face and left it on for about 20 minutes. As soon as I washed it off with a warm damp cloth, I noticed the fine lines on my forehead were less visible. I then applied the facelift cream on my face and neck (can’t forget the neck, ladies!). This is a thick cream but its not greasy and does not leave your face feeling oily. It actually absorbs pretty quick. After the facelift I applied the serum all over my face and neck as well. Upon applying these two, I then noticed that the already visibly reduced fine lines had practically disappeared! This was shocking to me. I called my husband into the bathroom to show him. He agreed.
Here’s the thing, though. By the next morning the fine lines were back, BUT still visibly reduced and less noticeable than before I applied any of their products. It has been the same cycle every day, with a tiny little less visible fine lines each day.
So, is it worth it? I think so. I have never seen a skin care product work so fast, so yes.
There’s also the non-surgical syringe, which I haven’t gone into yet, and honestly have only tried it twice. According to their website it is formulated to visibly reduce the look of deep wrinkles. The concept of this product seems to be to fill and freeze wrinkles. Now, I don’t have deep wrinkles but when I tried it on my fine lines, it did just that, fill and freeze. The only thing is that one of the times I used it, it was before applying my makeup and that did not go so well. It started flaking once I put on my CC cream so I had to wash it off. Perhaps its best used before bedtime.
Below, you will see my before and after pictures. The BEFORE pic was taken on the first day before applying the products and the AFTER pic was taken just this week, 2 weeks after the fact. I tried taking both pictures around the same time of day with the same lighting, and the same light makeup that I put on every day. Its a bit hard to tell but on the first picture you can see some fine lines on my forehead and a couple of frown lines between my eyebrows. If you tilt your computer screen you might be able to see them better. On the second picture you can see that those lines are not there. The skin around my eyes is also smoother. I did not photoshop or alter either pictures at all, not even a filter.
If this post cleared up any questions about luxury skin care, or if you have any questions about this line, please let me know below and I’ll gladly answer.
